What it is

One flexible acrylic, three jobs

FlexBond is a water-based acrylic that dries to a clear, tough, flexible film with real grab. That flexibility is the whole point: laminate fabric, bond trims, seal foam or prime a flat and the finish moves with the material instead of cracking. It's low-odour, cleans up with water while wet, and becomes a permanent flexible bond once cured.

FlexBond FAQs

How is FlexBond different from PVA or ordinary wood glue?
FlexBond dries clear and stays permanently flexible, where PVA tends to yellow and go brittle. That flexibility is why it's used on soft goods, foam and touring scenery — the bond moves with the material instead of cracking.
Can I paint over it?
Yes — that's one of its main jobs. Used as a sealer/primer it gives you an even, paint-ready surface. Rosco water-based scenic paints go straight over cured FlexBond.
Does it really work as a foam sealer?
Yes. Brush it onto carved or hot-wired foam to seal the surface before painting, or as a flexible coat in its own right. For a harder protective shell, pair it with FoamCoat or FlexCoat.
What can I bond with it?
Fabric, foam, timber, MDF, board, trims and many dissimilar materials. For structural or load-bearing joins use a mechanical fixing as well — FlexBond is a scenic adhesive, not a construction epoxy.
How do I clean up?
With water while it's still wet. Once cured it's a permanent flexible film, so wash tools and brushes before it sets.
