Rosco i-Cue Intelligent Mirror — Beam Control (AU & NZ)

Rosco i-Cue · intelligent mirror · Australia & New Zealand

Move the beam, not the light.

The Rosco i-Cue is a silent, DMX-controlled moving mirror that mounts on a profile (ellipsoidal) spotlight and repositions its beam at will. One fixture becomes many specials — refocused from your lighting desk, repeated exactly every show, without the cost or noise of a moving head.

Why i-Cue

One fixture, many looks

When the plot is tight or a moving head is overkill, the i-Cue does more with less.

🎯

Multiple specials from one light

Cover several focus points from a single hanging position — the mirror moves the beam to each on cue, so you don't dedicate a fixture to every special.

🔊

Silent & repeatable

Ultra-quiet stepper motors move the beam silently — fit for TV studios and concert halls — and land on the same mark every night, take after take.

💰

Moving-light effects for less

Simple pans, tilts and sweeps without the cost, weight or installation burden of a full moving head. Rep plots re-purpose i-Cues show to show without re-hanging.

How it works

Drops into the colour-frame slot

The i-Cue fits virtually any fixture with a 6-1/4" colour-frame slot — ETC Source Four, Selecon Pacific and many others. A lightweight moving mirror sits in front of the lens and steers the beam across the stage from a single position.

  • 230° of pan and 57° of tilt from one hanging position
  • DMX control — 2 channels (8-bit) or 4 channels (16-bit) for smooth, precise moves
  • Resolution to 0.028° in 16-bit mode
  • Runs on a 24V scroller power supply (e.g. Rosco PSU 50); daisy-chain multiple units
  • Stand-alone mode for programmed moves with no DMX, plus a built-in chase/ballyhoo
  • Just 17W draw · ~1.6 kg mirror head

Where it's used

Made for flexible, quiet rigs

🎭

Theatre & dance

Rep and touring plots that must re-focus specials show to show without re-hanging — one i-Cue covers many marks.

📺

Broadcast & TV

Silent operation makes it safe in studios and any acoustically sensitive space where a moving head's noise won't pass.

Worship & civic

Reposition a follow special or a scenic accent quietly through a service or event, driven from the desk or stand-alone.

🎤

Concerts & live events

Add pans, sweeps and ballyhoo from conventional profiles when you don't have — or don't need — full movers.

🏛️

Museums & corporate

A single luminaire that re-aims on a timed cue — ideal for reveals, displays and multi-scene rooms.

🛠️

Tight plots

When fixture count or budget is limited, the i-Cue turns the profiles you already own into repositionable specials.
