Test it on your own floor first
Not ready to commit to a full tin? A sample covers about a square metre, or half that at two coats, so there is plenty to paint a real test patch. Put it down in a corner or an offstage edge, out of view but on the actual surface, and check the colour, the egg-shell finish and how well it grips before you order the paint.
