Rosco Clear Acrylic Flat is a professional water-based scenic clear coat designed to protect scenic finishes while maintaining a matte, non-reflective appearance.
It is widely used in theatre, film production and scenic construction to seal painted scenery, murals and props without adding unwanted shine.

Used with Rosco Supersaturated Scenic Paint
Many scenic artists use Rosco Clear Acrylic Flat together with Rosco Supersaturated Scenic Paint to create controlled scenic glazes and layered colour effects.
- Add a small amount of Supersaturated pigment to Clear Acrylic Flat
- Thin with water to create translucent colour washes
- Apply in multiple layers to build depth and texture
Because Supersaturated paints are highly concentrated pigments, only a small amount is needed to tint the glaze while maintaining transparency.

Clear Acrylic Glaze has a milky appearance when wet but will dry clear.
Do not use heat or forced air to accelerate dry time as clouding may occur.
Application Guide
- Ensure the painted surface is clean and dry.
- Apply Clear Acrylic Flat using brush, roller or spray.
- Allow the coating to dry before applying additional layers if required.
Multiple coats may be applied depending on the level of protection required.
