Rosco Blackwrap® / Cinefoil®
Rosco Blackwrap is a professional matte black aluminium foil used in film, television, theatre and photography lighting to shape, block and control light.
The material can be easily moulded and holds its shape, making it ideal for creating temporary barn doors, snoots, flags and spill control directly on lighting fixtures.

Blackwrap vs Cinefoil
- Cinefoil was the original product name used by Rosco for this matte black aluminium lighting control foil.
- After Rosco acquired the GAM Filter business, the product became widely known as Blackwrap.
- Both names refer to the same lighting control material used throughout the film, television and theatre industries.
- Smaller portable rolls are commonly sold as Photofoil or compact Blackwrap.
